Atlantic coast airline is one of those Airlines operates mostly out of Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport . It was one of the fastest growing airlines in the US due in large part with it’s partnering with United and Delta Airlines. In 2004 Atlantic Coast changed focus, and was reborn as a budget airline called Independence Air. Independence Air closed doors January 5, 2006 after less than two years on it’s own.

Atlantic Coast Airline History

Atlantic coast airline began in 1989 with 6 turbojet aircraft serving around 300 passengers daily. By 1998 Atlantic Coast airline had served 10 million passengers and had already went public offering stock on the Nasdaq. The fast growth continued into the new millennium and by 2003 Atlantic coat has served 20 million passengers with it’s fleet of 130 aircraft and now employs 5000.

JetBlue to extend schedule

On Sunday, June 26, JetBlue will extend their current booking window to cover dates through February 15, 2012. Fares will become available at noon EDT on Sunday. JetBlue is currently only booking through January 3, 2012.

JetBlue Schedule
